Mapa Moradia (“Housing Map”) was created for the visual communication material of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing in 2009. Project done in partnership with designer Elisa von Randow.

Joana Lira knew like nobody else how to translate in drawings the hard task of speaking about rights, using a visual language very typical of Brazil and Pernambuco which managed to produce universal illustrations. It was exciting to see the impact of these drawings circulating around the world!
