A line about soil and what lies underneath. About grounding and what life takes, on the material and immaterial planes alike. Joana Lira’s play at lines and symmetries, drawing inspiration from the powerful graphisms of the Native Peoples. Laid out in one way, they may form a root system. Placed upside down, they become a tree. An elegy of the flexibility of tile layout!

Root tiles may be ordered as 15 cm x 15 cm hexagons.
